Minimal pizza dough. 30 mins wait.
Dough
Ingredients
- 380 g flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup water (body temperature)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Beat at low speed (2) with a dough hook for 8 minutes.
- Remove from bowl and place onto a well-floured surface.
- Shape into a boule.
- Place boule into lightly oiled bowl and cover.
- Wait 30 minutes.
- Punch down.
- Remove from bowl and place onto a well-floured surface.
- Cut into 3 equally-sized pieces (one for each pizza).
- Shape each piece into a boule.
Bake
Ingredients
- 1 boule pizza dough (as created above in the "Dough" section)
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- a variety of toppings (to taste and preference)
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 450F at least 1 hour before intending to bake the pizza. Allow 10 mins assembly time.
- Place dough onto a well-floured surface.
- Roll the dough out into a 9 in circle using a well-floured rolling pin. Rotate the dough through 90 degrees and flip upside-down after each roll.
- Ensure both sides of the dough are well-floured after it’s rolled out.
- Transfer to a well-floured peel. From here on, work very quickly so that the dough does not start sticking to the peel.
- Dock the dough by pricking it with a fork all over its surface.
- Spread the tomato paste over the dough base.
- Add toppings.
- Transfer to heated pizza stone.
- Bake at 450F for 7 minutes.
