Pear clafouti
Not too sweet pear tart
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter (at room temperature)
- 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 90 gram flour
- 1-1/2 cup. heavy cream
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp rum
- 3 pears
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Butter a 10" x 1-1/2" round baking dish.
- Combine eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Beat on medium-high (6) speed using a flat beater for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Mix in flour, cream, vanilla, lemon zest, salt and rum.
- Rest batter for 10 minutes.
- Peel, quarter, core and slice pears.
- Arrange pears in a single layer in the baking dish, fanning them out.
- Pour the batter over the pears.
- Bake until the top is golden and the batter is firm (35 minutes).
